Who is responsible

What this website does
This is an information website. It has no account registration, session booking or payment forms. We have not added analytics tools or advertising trackers to these pages.
Visiting a website still involves technical information being processed by hosting and network services. The absence of forms or added analytics does not mean that no information is processed.
Information that may be handled
- If you email us: your email address, any name you provide, your message and any attachments you choose to send.
- When you visit: hosting and security services may process your IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, request times, and operational or security logs.
Please share only what is needed to explain your enquiry. Do not send banking passwords, identity documents or unnecessary financial details.
Why information is used
Enquiry information is used to read and respond to your message, provide support, and handle privacy requests or complaints. Technical information may be used to deliver the website, maintain reliability, prevent abuse and investigate security problems.
Information may also need to be handled to meet applicable legal obligations. We seek to use only the information necessary for these purposes.
Service providers & overseas processing
This website uses OpenAI Sites hosting with Cloudflare infrastructure. Hosting, network, security and email service providers may process information as part of delivering their services.
These services operate internationally. Information, including technical logs and email enquiries, may be processed or stored outside New Zealand. We do not represent that all information stays in New Zealand.
Keeping & protecting information
We retain enquiry information for as long as it is needed to address the enquiry, manage related issues or meet applicable legal requirements. Hosting and email providers may retain technical records under their own service and security arrangements.
We aim to keep information limited to what is necessary and restrict access to people who need it for these purposes. Please contact us if you have a concern about how your information has been handled.
Your choices, requests & complaints
Sending an enquiry is optional. If you do not provide a way to contact you or enough detail to understand the issue, we may be unable to respond or assist.
You can contact info@timeawake.co.nz to ask about information we hold about you, request access or correction, ask for deletion, or raise a privacy complaint. We will consider requests under applicable law; some information may need to be retained for legal or operational reasons.
You can also read the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner’s guidance on making a complaint.
The planned app
Future app features are planned to use account and contact details, including a nickname, given name and family name, along with booking information, wallet and transaction records, and audit or security records. These are proposed data categories for planned features, not a description of a live app collecting them today.
AWS services in Sydney are currently planned for the app. Actual services, data use, retention, access controls and privacy choices will be confirmed in an updated notice before app features are enabled.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice as the website or product changes. Before enabling app accounts, bookings or payment records, we will publish a notice describing the actual app data practices. The date at the top identifies the latest update.
